Snakelike path to a lonely tree Photo

Photographer’s Note

Short break in my Evritania "serie" with a photo from Larisa, which I forgot to post in my previous "serie". The huge plains of this region seem at first sight as a boring landscape, but if you take a closer look you 'll discover an inmense variety of shapes, forms and colours. I know that many of you are fed up with these "Lonely Tree" photos, but as Peter ( pboehringer ) says, everyone has the right to upload 2-3 photos of this kind. So, this is my third one, the other two are HERE and HERE

Hmmm... another lonely tree :-)
Well, sometimes it works, and this is one of those cases, thanks to the patterns on the ground and the snakelike path that you have used in the title for the picture. Colours are fine and saturated. A very slight pity about the pole, whatever it is, in the middle of the photo.

I totally agree with your note: you turned what at first may be interpreted as a very boring landscape into a great photo. I think you've done very well in seeing this (I think I might not have seen the opportunity here). I'm not fed up with lonely tree photos yet ... but three is indeed a good limit for one account ;-)

Segun puedo ver, tu cuota de árboles solitarios se ha agotado!!! :-)
Muy buena la curva del camino que lleva al árbol, que contrasta con las líneas del arado.
Me gusta el intenso color de la tierra y la manera en que contrasta con el azul del cielo.

I like this, minimal yet very effective. I love the textures and patterns created by the diagonal lines and criss crossed by the winding path. Warm tones of the land contrasting with the blue sky are great too.

me encanta la sencillez de esta composición, y su fuerte grafismo a la vez. Perfecto encuadre dividido en tercios, un bello campo con una gran geometría de líneas y el árbol solitario sobre un cielo azul, todo se complementa y encaja perfectamente.

Aunque se repita el arbol solitario, siempre hay un especio mas para ese tipo de foto. Esta por ejemplo la encuentro excelente, hay unos contrastes de colores fuertes con el marron de la tierra y el azul del cielo, como tu dices el terreno es irregular preparado para la siembra y te ha salido estupendo.

it always amazes me how these minimlaistic shots with lonely trees woeks again and again. Something draws our attention to it like a magnet draws iron. Not quite sure what it is, additionally to this tree the snake like path winding up the hill is an extremely well included element in your composition.

Well composed photo with the 'lonely tree', Hercules. I like the 1/3 sky - 2/3 ground and the sharpness.
The colours seem to me a bit boring so I tried a ws, hope you don't mind!

Hi Hercules. Solitary trees can be a cliche but you have introduced some excellent textures in the fields and wonderful warm, earthy tones to the land. It's a pity about the stick in the middle of the shot - but it's also an extremely good photo. Regards, Paul.
