Photographer's Note

This is the reflection of a car passing fast before me in Crithoni. I was waiting for a friend to pick me up at the point where the narrow street leading to my neighbourhood meets the main road. Very often there are large puddles at this spot formed by the water that has run downhill from freshly washed front yards. When it rains, the puddle becomes a lake and the name of our narrow street that climbs down from halfway up the hill is quite eloquent: River.

I tried to catch reflections of passing motorbikes mainly but as the traffic was scarce I compromised with reflections of cars too. I tried to find a good frame and press the shutter at the best moment. I was very fortunate that my best frame during this brief session was of one of the very few yellow cars going around on Leros. I also liked that the puddle was sprinkled with some bougainvillea petals that had flown over from a garden nearby.

I’ve ceased hating the puddle and now find it fascinating:)

Thank you for visiting, a great weekend to all
