Kamari Santorini: Kamari is a famous beach resort of Santorini situated ten kilometers southeast of Fira, on the exact opposite side of the island from Perissa.
The general landscape is much similar to Perissa: an impressive long and inviting black sandy beach, characterized by an enormous rock called Mesa Vouno that rises from the sea.
The area offers a great landscape, especially at night, when the rock is lighted.

The village of Kamari is not built in the same manner that Perissa. The houses of the village line the beach, and offer a nice walk (volta) by the sea.
The area is more crowded and offers a bigger diversity of hotels, rooms, restaurants, snacks, cafés, bars and night clubs.
The beach of Kamari is fully organised and offers all kinds of facilities like sun chairs, umbrellas and different types of water sports.

From Kamari, a road takes you up the mountain to Ancient Thira, and a caique (traditional fishing boat) can bring you to the wild isle of Anafi.
This beach and village have been built up around tourists and are quite busy. But if you can put up with this the view of Mesa Vouno makes it a good experience. The noise of planes coming into the nearby airport is not an appealing factor.
If you travel from Fira look out for the many wineries on the way. You travel through the village of Kamari on your way to the beach. There is little of note about the village which has been built up around the popular beach. It may not be pretty but does offer quite a few shops as well as cash machines. The beach itself is very long with Mesa Vouno bringing it to an abrupt end on the southern side. The view of this is superb and you can really admire its size from this beach. The beach is pretty pebbly and you can sit on these or take one of the many loungers available. The area behind the beach is very developed with numerous shops and bars.

Bonjour Vojko,
c'est bien de rester dans cet endroit et ces couleurs, soutnues par des lumières très efficaces, il pleut tous les jours en Belgique maintenant et ce genre de prise de vue de vacances fait vraiment du bien.

impressive capture here, perfect sharpness again, like those textures to be seen at the wall, also a good play of light and shadow, and a t least my beloved greek blue color.. that´s a fine shot, indeed!

Good morning Vojko,
where ids the car of the owner of the house? I think that as usual,make the owners of the houses to put signs or a lot of other different elements in front of the entrance or the facade of their houses.I like this typical Greek yard with the blue wooden pergola to cover it and the shades to outlined on the wall.Well done.

the effect of the oblique lines and their shadows is surrealistic. a hard contrast of colors that it extinguishes the brightness of the white, but is however winner for this frame so strange. very well done!

Moja fotografija, ki jo spomnil v Grčijo, vendar je to lepo sestavo, če je tam, ob pogledu na te lepe slike, naredi me bolj napeto čakal, z začetkom naslednjega 11. september potovanje v državi, tako da boste dobili dolgčas v zimskem času s slikami Grčije.
Beautiful igro svetlobe in sence, bela in modra, je prav tako idealna kombinacija.
