I spent more than one afternoon in Oja, marvelling at the inventiveness of the people who built such an entanglement of charming houses a at the brink of the caldera, and enjoying the light, the colours and the immense panorama which is offered by this ring shaped island. It was my favourite spot in Santorini, more intimate than the capital Fira, and in April the atmosphere was perfect. There is something in Oia that keeps you there and doesn’t allow you to go away.


J’ai passé plus d’un après-midi à Oia, m’émerveillant de l’inventivité de ceux qui ont construit cet enchevêtrement de charmantes maisons sur le bord de la caldera, et en me réjouissant de la lumière, des couleurs et de l’immense panorama que cette île qui a la forme d’une bague.
C’était mon endroit préféré à Santorini, plus intime que Fira, le chef-lieu, et en Avril l’atmosphère était parfaite. Il y a quelque chose en Oia qui te retient là et ne te donne pas envie de t’en aller.


Ho passato più di un pomeriggio ad Oia, meravigliandomi dell’inventiva di chi ha costruito questo intrico di case incantevoli sull’orlo della caldera, e godendo della luce, dei colori e dell’immenso panorama che offre quest’isola a forma di anello.
Era il luogo che preferivo a Santorini, più intimo di Fira, la capitale, e in Aprile l’atmosfera era perfetta. C’è qualcosa in Oia che ti trattiene lì e non ti fa venir voglia di andar via.
