Sifnos Island is part of the Western Cyclades, lies in the Cyclades islands between Serifos, Kimolos and Antiparos and is about 80 nautical miles from Piraeus.
Faros, a quaintly charming traditional fishing village resting on a sandy beach with turquoise water, 7 km away from the capital village of the island (Apollonia) and 12 km away from the port (Kamares). It is accessible to the rest of the island by a paved road and there is a regular bus service to Apollonia.
Now to the photo:
I was so charmed by the play of light, surfaces, lines and forms, that I didn't accord enough attention to the technical aspect. So the upper part is overexposed.
There are possibilities in PP-work, but I'm not so good in it, and doesn't have patience enough to play with. An other aspect of the playing - even more I do it, even less I'm sure about what I'm doing - makes me very often stop.
I know, I should do it again and again...
If you find time for a WS, could you PLEASE explain what and how? Thanks

Hi Janos, nice shot, I like it, I do not have problems with the overexposure, compliments also for your notes.

It's a nice shot although you're right, the whites are little bit burnt. Maybe it could be improved playing with the curves on photoshop. Anyway, I like the reflection-water texture-light&shadow play. Without a note I would have post it in TL, for its inherent artistic aspect. keep clicking ;o)

I saw some boats in Greece "rising and hoovering" above tranquil pristine waters and that's why I appreciate this artistic essay convied by a thight coop for a focus on symmetry.
