While sitting in one of the cafes in Oia, Santorini, I spotted this lady walking through the narrow passages, quite far away from where I was. I grabbed my telephoto quickly, and I think I photographed every step she made. Another moment added as WS...
I really loved the whiteness of Santorini. I struggled in PS to adjust the contrast without losing the shades/texture of the walls.
Have a nice weekend TE :)

Hello Marija! This is what I do, I walk through the white ... we have a bad snow storm but I guess it would blow away every umbrella :))) Oh yes, these are the things when you have to be fast and shoot as much as you can. Great how she breaks up the white and I can only assume that you go crazy and want to bring home as much white as you can. Great photo, I like it a lot. Best regards, Barbara.

Un joli traitement et une bien jolie composition. Pourquoi ne pas avoir redressé les verticales ?

The whiteness here is so amazingly appealing... The lines, the curves and the break of that white harmony by the passerby with the umbrella....all is so well composed... A marvelous image…
Totally intoxicated by the intensity of Santori's whiteness...

White is a good colour when you get it right as you did here. I like also that you left the horizon tilted. Good work!

after your last post I think I have come to associate you with white, and this photo is just another proof of that :) love the shot, especially how the 200mm have flattened the perspective a bit and now focuses attention on all those crazy shapes and angles. your timing is perfec, the red umbrella is just in the right place in the frame for the maximum effect. great shot, my compliments.
p.s. I think WS deserves to be a separate post, the combination of red and blue there is quite fascinating :)

Good morning Marija
Even the fact that it tilts creates a beautfiul side line that enriches the minimal frame of the detail. A very good perspective and excellent optical result
Have a good day and TFS

beautiful image. I like a lot the stain of the umbrella on a white background.
It's a very simple and elegant photo.

Very, very, very nice picture.
I miss the opportunity of this kind of photo in Santorini last spring because I spent only a little time there. But... I see your photo and I would be there again.

it is obvious at very first glance that this photo is no coincidence. Geometry is so well captured and the tilt is just perfect...in the direction of a lady's walk. It leans to the left as her look leans down...it gives it an extra weight. The white makes perfect canvas to red umbrella and the focus...I simply love it. I like how it changes and creates a dynamic feeling of following the lady, constantly focusing on her...
So easy to appreciate such a superb photo.

i can not combine rain and santorini in my head, so this one looks kinda surreal to me... love it a lot of course with the maroon umbrella and the white surrounding... besides cacti are my favorite plants on earth...
(your doughter looks just like you dear... and artemis looks like andreas doesnt she? >;P...)

A striking combination of tilted geometrics shrouded in white of absolute painting-like quality. The woman with the red umbrella and that little patch of greens are the perfect accents to bring the whole scene to life. Splendid textures, GREAT thinking! Have a good day, I'll see you around.

Hu again Marija,
I simply love how you have well used the architecture in order to create a lovely game of shapes and diagonals, broken by the woman with umbrella, ...another proof of your talent, compliments!!!
