When choosing somewhere to stay on Santorini, obviously Oia is a favourite destination and these villas (Oia Mare Villas), built into the caldera are a beautiful choice, and afford stunning views across to the island of Thirasia.

A pleasant blend of blue and white, the colours of the Greek Islands. I like the point of view and the division between sea and land. A well presented image with good colours and sharpness. Have a great weekend, I hope the weather keeps fine for you, it is pouring with rain here today:(-

my next(apart from Malta)destination I´ll visit this year.Admiring your beautiful pictures from Santorini I know that I have chosen well.
I like the upward perspective you chose here and so strong color contrast between the blue sky and white facades.
Magnificent presentation of Santorini architecture in superb quality!
Have a good weekend

Meravigliosa! Il bianco delle case ed il cielo blu formano un insieme incantevole. Ma oltre ai colori è bella anche la composizione con la diagonale del borgo che si arricchisce anche di un bel mulino.
La vegetazione sottostante fa inoltre da bella cornice.
Impeccabili nitidezza e saturazione.
Ciao e buo fine settimana

Another beauty of Greece! Incredible architecture contrasting with this blue vivid sky. Clean image as the wind of this island. Great work, as usual.
Thanks and enjoy the WE!

if I hadn't been there, I would not believe the colours, especially the dark blue of the sky on an island in the Mediterranean. This reminds me of our honeymoon when we took a catamaran ferry from Crete to Santorini and spent a lovely day there. Thanks for sharing, and have a nice Pentecost!

i have seen this section of the Caldera during a daily trip around it coming from the Nea Kameni. Really the villas looks like to hang on from the slopes with the brilliant light to brings out the details of the houses as enhance the vivid colours of them.
Have a good Sunday,Danos

fantastica, colori magnifici, davvero una bella foto.
La luce ed il cielo sono indispensabili per questi soggetti e qui ci sono entrambi.

A very well composed scene, where the familiar white houses are framed by the natural, rock-loving vegetation and the vivid blue sky.
I love how the sky colour is repeated in the doorways, linking the areas across the frame.
Sharp and detailed, as always.
Have a great Sunday,

a beautiful upward view with the lovely, simple, picturesque settlement perched on the arid rock, under a magnificent deep blue sky. I marvel at the way you handled the luminosity of the white walls capturing it effectively without losing any details of the architecture at all. In fact, clarity and sharpness, colours and contrasts are amazing. A very attractive image, excellent work. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely Sunday,

Have you been to Chios at all? It's right next to Turkey and that would save me an 8 hour boat trip from Piraeus. Anyway this is another fine shot of this gorgeous Greek Island with its characteristic blue and white architecture tripping down the steep slopes of the dormant caldera wall. Very good sharpness and punchy light contrasts. Tfs!

so many views of this charming village and yet each one seems so different. Each corner seems to offer a completely new perspective. Beautiful composition again. Here the most challenging was surely the exposition to keep the white houses from being burned. You did a fantastic job and your gallery really encourages to visit this spectacular location,

Dazzling blue and white nicely framed. The more I look at your photos the more I feel like visiting Santorini...
Have a nice afternoon
