Photographer's Note

I stayed in Mykonos for a few days in August, wish it was a longer visit. The weather and water remained like this for the entire duration. The island, which itself is rocky, barren and almost treeless is in itself not especially attractive but the coastal fringes and water is where the huge appeal lies. This scene is of Paraga Beach on the southern limits of the island. Here people from all over Europe and the rest of the world come to relax in the sea and party all night. The rocks jutting out in the middle of the bay reminded me of a seal colony, where people would spend the entire day sunning themselves only to return to shore to order a cocktail.
