ENG:Folegandros is a sunlit welcome. The people who have been returning here year after year, who have established bonds with the island and its inhabitants, come together between a warm welcome and the sweet "au revoir" of goodbye.Folegandros is the island of good measure. The mild tourism development of the last two decades has allowed the island to preserve the full extent of its character and physiognomy. At the same time, however, modern infrastructure and organized tourism services have been developed. The inhabitants of Folegandros continue to care for their land and enjoy life in their own way, which they now share with more and more of the island's friends.Upon arrival at Karavostassis port, Folegandros will start to unfold its beauties one by one. You can wonder around the narrow paved streets of Hora and the Kastro, climb the Panagia rock with its panoramic view of the Aegean, swim in the deserted or popular beaches, or explore nature along the footpaths that criss-cross every corner of the island. Homemade traditional food can be savoured in Hora, Karavostassis, Aggali or Ano Meria, while long nights drinking rakomelo await you in the squares of Hora.Folegandros belongs to the south-western Cyclades. It has a maximum altitude of 455 metres, an area of 32 square kilometres and around 650 inhabitants. It is 104 nautical miles away from Piraeus port.During the summer, Folegandros is linked to Piraeus with fast ferries on a daily basis. The trip lasts between 3.5 and 4 hours. The ferries also call at: Sifnos, Milos, Thera (Santorini), Amorgos, Naxos, Paros and Syros. With conventional ferries, the trip lasts for around 11 hours, depending on the route.Conventional ferries also call at: Kythnos, Serifos, Sifnos, Kimolos, Milos, Sikinos, Ios, Thera, Paros and Naxos.Local boats connect Folegandros throughout the year to: Thera, Anafi, Thirassia, Ios, Sikonos, Naxos, Paros, Syros, Kythnos and Kea.Despite the island's small size, the well-preserved network of old paved streets and footpaths is an attraction for hikers, allowing them to experience the riches of Folegandros’s historical character. The network of selected footpaths, with a total length of 20 kilometres, crosses a large part of the Folegandros countryside and constitutes the Footpaths of Historical and Cultural Interest, which lead to destinations with a particular historical-cultural or environmental importance.

Bonjour Chris,

Hi Chris,
The distance between the shore and the yacht is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the yacht and of the house. The good lum inosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

I see your copyright has found its way to the open seas, Chris! Nice shot, though I do wish we could see the full boat instead of having the prow cut off - still, beautiful colors, and with such a focus on blue and white, where else could it be but Greece? The small green square at bottom left is a nice accent, and really caught my attention for whatever reason. TFS!

Hi Chris,
The best part of this image is the beautiful blue of the ocean and the sky, so very summer like of the greek weather and landscape of hte earth tone and white house with blue doors. I love how you even have your own boat with your name on it. You are really rich :) I only wish the front of the boat is not cut off.

Hello Chris,
You had a great and funny idea to put your copyright stamp on the boat. Although I think your boat is undimensionally large for this small place it's a fine view of clear water, a clear sky and the typical Kykladian houses.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Chris,
I am rather down to earth type of person so I think I would take less of the uniform sky and focus rather on the attractive rocks also those visible through the water. Great idea with your signature on the yacht :)

Hi Chris.
That wonderful blue sea, singular contrast between the quiet village and the modern boat, pity we do not see the bow in full, would have enhanced the impact of the image.
Magnificent sharpness giving good textures in rocks, nice day with good light and beautiful colors.
Have a good afternoon.
Best regards.
Luis.

I see your boat moored in the inlet.
An excellent place to live carefree and "inside" nature.
The coast with rocks is more relaxing than the crowded beaches.
The image transmits tranquility and ambience .... in a perfect photographic project.

Hi Chris,
it is a real symphony in blue and white, which you offer us in a structured-well composition, with the yacht that is combined with the white traditional architecture.
There are a good luminosity and beautiful colors, and your signature in the prow of the huge yacht is a very funny detail.
Well done.
Best regards,
