Wo wäre Trek Earth ohne die Fotos der Touristen???
Tägliche Arbeit der Maultiere.
Relating to the comment of Mr. Roger Kirby (theswedish),
(I am not getting this photo, or even the description. Looks like a tourist photo.)
= where would Trek Earth be without photos taken by tourists? Not everyone can be a professional photographer =! Proud of my "tourist photos" and the support i get of my Trek Earth friends appreciating my photos.
Daily work of the mules.

Totally agree, T.E. would not have many photos if tourists didn't upload the pictures the took on their travels.
Nice capture good POV.

Indeed the visitors bring the most beautiful pictures on TE, through the trips in abroad.
Lovely daily life picture, this is the reality perfect.
Excellent perspective and depth picture.
A nice composition, lovely presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice day,

Fine picture show the way downwards on the trail, Wolfgang.
Going down may not present much difficulty, so we see tourist walk one way - but climbingh may be a little
inconvenience, so there are the mules. Fine face expression of the leading man on the first mule, concetrate on the paved path, though he must knwo by heart the many time did climb it.
Fine taken the moment and place.

Certainly this is a "tourist photo", and so is practically every picture I have ever shown here. But this is a nice photo with good depth and colours, showing how some people of Santorini try to make a living by taking tourists up or down the steep steps to the small harbour. I see no harm in that.

Awesome capture of this scene! I play tourist in my city of Las Vegas all the time and it give better perspective of what they see and take pictures at the same time. Good lighting and nice details. Very well done, tfs.

Ciao dear Wolfgang
Ahh this is like a historical document. Of days - perhaps better days - long past. In fact, there is something about the landscape and the donkeys that reminds me so much of Sicily. Excellent perspective, colour and composition.

nice picture of the daily life. It seems quite steep so I guess it is good to know that there are other options to get to the top :) especially if one travels with a small child.
Very original reportage showing less popular aspects of this famous place,

Another interesting photo from Greece. This place reminds me some pieces of the Great Wall in China. This landscape also looks like a Chinese scenery. But I am not sure about a mule. The note is very useful, I agree with you and Roger.

Good morning Wolfgang,
very impressive this unique snapshot with the natives to earn their live during the half of the year,as transport turists on the stairs of Santorini with the traditional way.
Excelllent the light and the colour management of the scene.
Have a good week,Danos

from one tourist photographer to another, thanks for sharing this. These steps remind me of the 199 steps up from Whitby harbour to the church on the cliff. I try to imagine donkeys climbing there too. This is well composed with the man and donkey well placed in the frame. You have struggled with the harsh light but that cannot be helped. A pleasing scene. I hope the donkeys are not over worked.
