Saint Nicholas (Aghios Nikolaos) is a pristine little white church at the southern end of the volcanic island of Santorini, Greece. You have to walk past this beautiful church set amongst the red rocks to get to Red Beach (Kokkini Paralia) which lies just around the headland on which this church stands.

Another well composed photo. I always try to decipher your colour composition theme. Here again I see well structured zones of colour. Very nice.

Good angle to take the photo, impressive contrast between the white church and these rocks, well seen.

Those who run this church know how to make it appealing, it would be hard to walk by this beautiful white edifice to the beach without wanting to step inside and see more. It stands out so strikingly against the red rock too, and you caught it under beautiful light.
Love the idea to compose this so the circular stairs are where you placed them, it softens the lines of the church so well.
Thanks as always

Le contraste entre les murs blancs de l'église et les rochers volcaniques est saisissant. L'exposition est parfaite.

The clarity of the photo is great, beautiful white church, I like the contrast between white walls and brown rocks in the BG

Ciao dear Brian
Oooh la la! Excellent vertical frame, beautiful crisp blues and whites, wonderful curves and perspective. The rocks contrast magically against the church. This is an amazing place and you have photographed it superbly.

Excellent graphism of the bright sunlit facade of the stereotypical Greek church against the dark bg. Good sharpness and the blue sky and white church are the quintessential colours of Greece as depicted on the national flag. Tfs!

You have done a fine job photographing this pristine, white church, giving a hint of the rough textured surface and not a hint of oe. The composition is, as always, very well thought out, the steps giving interest in the f/g and the lines leading nicely to the metal gate in the b/g.
The whole frontage is so very, very Greek and gives a strong contrast against the reddy-brown rocks.
Have a lovely day,

beautiful church, whiter than white with the dark rock behind it. Charming composition. Ha, fine the string to ring the three bells. were you not tempted to try them?

you've got the good eyes of artist. Gorgeous composition, attractive contrast of the white church and the brown cliff on the background.
Hm, no, it's no blurred on my screen, perfect quality and without beta version. TFS!
