Turks call it "turkish cafe", Greeks "cafe crec" ! It's not important how tou call it, but throughout the Aegean and Mediteraanean world, dark caffe served in small cups with a glass of cold water is a "must" of daily life.

A quiet moment, well caught by you in the best traditions of street photography. Nothing is happening, and nothing is supposed to be happening. It's coffee time. I'm very interested in your obvious fair handedness between Turks and Greeks, given the long history of emnity. I get the feeling that this is one of the things TE is good at promoting. My compliments.

Hi Mesut - a classic Greek Cafe photo - you see old men sitting with a barely touched coffee in most towns. A good profile.

Merhaba Mesut. Iconic shot of the Mediterranean spirit: sun, sea, ouzo or coffee. To be soothed by the lapping of the waves and a gentle sea breeze- a lucky man. Nice moment discretely captured. Best wishes. Klaudio.

a lovely peaceful scene from one of the favoutite cafes on the waterfront of Symi (if I'm not mistaken). It must be the time that the last excursion boats are coming back to the harbour and maybe this is the sight that has caught the gentleman's attention. I love his smile and attentive eyes behind his glasses. Your point of view is wonderful. The composition with the round table and the delightful coffee, the natural lighting and colours, the tranquil atmosphere, everything is great. Well done and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

Hallo Mesut,my eye fell on this because its not only a very fine portrait.no it also expresses a very warm and plaesant mood of the cafe, love it!

Cant help but appreciate the mood expressed here. The old man is enjoying life to the lees. The colours are rich and vivid. The images, sharp and significant .. The sharp colours of the smart cane hat - the white coffee cup (espresso !) - the glass ash-tray - and the almost empty glass of water.... Life - here and now !!
Thanks for sharing.

a usual scene from the daily life of this old man as sitting near the sea enjoying his coffee and remembering his younger life i suppose..
Good the light and the colour management as the clarity of the image.
Have a good afternoon,Danos

I find this to be a very charming picture. I can imagine the relaxation that this old man feels while he watches the world and drinks his cofeee. The man is framed well and the exposure just right.
Kind Regards, Ann

Guten Morgen, lieber Mesut!
