Take a seat Burcu (burgu) !

A capture I made in 2007 in a small cafe house. I can't interprete the gesture of this priest, if he was angry with me or just offering a seat ??
I dedicate this capture to Burcu.

Kusura bakma, ancak bu papazı bulabildim sana. Deniz görmez İnşallah.
Symi de küçük bir kahveden. Beni oturmaya mı davet ediyordu, yoksa fırça mı atıyordu anlamadım. Her iki çekilde de yorumlanabilir.

Merhaba Mesut,

Papazi valla paparazzo gibi yakalamissin, belki ona mi kiziyor. Papazlarin böyle lokanta islettiklerini hiç bilmiyordum. Fotografi çektigin gün de, "7-7-7." Biliyorsun, Çinliler için sekiz isabetli bir rakkam sayilir. Onlar da Olimpiyatlari 2008-08-08 açmislardi.

Siz yer gösterirsiniz de oturmaz mıyım ben hiç, ama ne yalan söyleyeyim ben de sizinle aynı kaygıyı paylaşıyorum; "oturmaya mı davet ediyordu, yoksa fırça mı atıyordu".... Ama gönüller bir olsun yeter ki, hepimiz onun sizi oturmaya davet ettiği yorumunu destekliyoruz nasılsa :)
Ara sıra arşivinizin derinliklerinden çıkan (2007'den çok çok daha derin, benim yaşımdan daha büyük bir arşiviniz var elbette) fotoğrafların yeri apayrı. Baksanıza her duruma, her konsepte uygun bir hediye çıkıveriyor oradan :))

Excellent capture, I think the photo (and the gesture), is very inviting, excellent daily life scene, well composed and framed, with great light managment! I hope that you wouldn't mind, if i included it in my "Please, have a seat!" theme!

I like the color and detail in this interesting portrait. You got very good detail in the priest's dark garment especially with the bright BG.

You're right, his pained expression conflicts with the welcoming gesture. We found the Greek Orthodox priets to be much more involved with people and mundane activities than the typical RC priest, in spite of clothes that must be excruciatingly hot in the typically warm weather.

I have missed many good postings while I have been way - this is one of them! I like the repeated pattern of rectangles, and the strong shape of the priest, who immediately gets our attention with his hand gesture and expression.
