Photographer’s Note

Symi belongs to the Dodecanese islands complex and lies 24 nautical miles NW of Rhodes. Houses of Symi are all Neo-Classical, most white or pastel-yellow rising up tier upon tier. Yialos is the main harbor of Symi.

Hi Kostas
The colours certainly attracted me to this photo. They are so nice and bright. I like the way the yacht is framed by the trees and how one can make out the village behind the branches. Excellent alround sharpness.

A typically colourful view of lovely Symi - one of my favourite islands. Your photo is filled with light and has great clarity and detail. The filter is effective in giving vibrant colours, even in the strong sunlight.

Μια ακόμα υπέροχη φωτογραφία σου Κώστα. Πολύ σωστά και αστραφτερά χρώματα και με ευκρίνεια φοβερή παντού. Ίσως λίγο παραπάνω απ' ότι έπρεπε ανεβασμένα τα σκοτεινά (θα ήθελα λίγο ποιο σκληρές τις σκιές).

Even without a humna being, a life , this shot seems to be so busy, as if the next moment all the cahirs would be occupied and the baot woat start rowing.
Its the compo and the colours which attract .

Γεια σου Κωστα.Εξαιρετικη συνθεση,μου κανει εντυπωση η καθαροτητα ολων των επιπεδων,οπως και αν τα καταφερες μπραβο,φως και φυσικα χρωματα αψογα,το καδρο σου περιλαμβανει ολες τις ομορφιες ενος ελληνικου νησιου φυσικες και τεχνητες,συγχαρητηρια που τα χωρεσες ολα αυτα μεσα σε μια φωτο.

Kώστα καλησπέρα,πραγματικά απίθανη σύνθεση,θα την χαρακτήριζα "πλούσια" σύνθεση καθώς είναι γεμάτη απόχαρακτηριστικά του Ελληνικού καλοκαιριού!Το μπλέ του ουρανού και της θάλασσας,τα κλασικά τραπεζάκια δίπλα στο κύμα κτλ.Τεχνικά επίσης είναι πραγματικά τέλεια.

Beautiful light and color! Clear green of trees rendered by polarizing filter is beautiful indeed. How to put the pastel-yellow houses is also really great. Excellent aesthetic composition with superlative image quality.

Κώστα καλησπέρα,
πολύ καλή το σκηνικό αυτό από την ακριτική Σύμη με τα τραπεζάκια πάνω στο κύμα.Το μικρό ιστιοφόρο ανάμεσα από τα δυό δένδρα τονίζεται περισσότερο με αυτή τη γωνία λήψης.Εξαιρετικά τα χρώματα και το φως.

Beside being a wonderful town by the sea, your composition makes it even more attractive for the intense colours and the ashtoning sharpness. Everything is perfect and every details fits marvellously in the picture: the terrace with the tables and chairs, the tree, and the lovely boat. I think one cannot do better.

This is a very good composition. It's good to include these tables on the foreground and not show only the interesting architecture and the sea.
