Photographer’s Note

A big threating smoke cloud, forming a face ready to attack a boat, at Stegna beach in Rhodes, during the big fire in July this year.

I made a little dodging and burning to the sky, just to intensify the effect of the angry face.

ISO 200, shot taken about one hour before sunset, but the sun was already hidden from the smoke.

Striking image. Everything is secondary to the angry sky. Your use of black and white creates an outstanding photo.

Dramatic photo from this tragic fire. We had been to a previous year on Rodosz and our heart sank upon seeing the news. We took a liking to this beautiful island very much. From the darkness forming sinister face shocking sight.
