Photographers Note
"...Some people use the terms "hot chocolate" and "hot cocoa" interchangeably, while others make a distinction between the two terms. Hot cocoa is made from a powdered mix of cocoa, sugar and thickeners, without cocoa butter. Hot chocolate is made directly from bar chocolate, which already contains cocoa, sugar and cocoa butter. Thus the major difference between the two is the cocoa butter, which makes hot cocoa significantly lower in fat than chocolate, while still preserving all the intrinsic health-giving properties of chocolate.
Hot chocolate can be made with dark, semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces and stirred into milk with the addition of sugar. American hot cocoa powder often includes powdered milk or other dairy ingredients so it can make a drink without using milk. A modern American concept is the addition of marshmallows to hot chocolate. Some packaged hot cocoa mixes come with small dry marshmallows.
In the UK, "hot chocolate" is a sweet chocolate drink made with hot milk and powder containing chocolate, sugar, and powdered milk. While "cocoa" usually refers to a similar drink made with just hot milk and cocoa powder, then sweetened to taste with sugar.
In some cafes in Belgium, one who orders a "warme chocolade" or "chocolat chaud" would receive a cup of steamed white milk and a small bowl of bittersweet chocolate chips to dissolve in the milk. The beverage is usually a ccompanied with a complementary piece of yellow cake, speculaas, or Belgian chocolate..."

merhaba korkut abi

Now you are giving ideas to me, Korkut. I have a lot of images from Laos with chocolate rivers ;-) It's impressive how you transformed this aparent 'normal' holidays scene in such a beautiful image. That white snake in the background embracing this swimming pool is very good. Suddenly a monster coming out of the water will frighten the tourists and this place will never be the same...just my stupid thoughts suggested by your b&w presentation... ;-)
have a nice week,

An appropriate title for this "hot" sepia, Korkut, the boat looks a bit Chinese, I guess water was almost as hot as one's morning cup of... whatever:)
Cheers

Kalimera file
The long note on chocolate and the bikinis in the sea create free associations of immense range...
As it is though, it is well captured, well framed and nicely set in the lagoon. Needless to say I'm envious of all these nice places I have yet to see

Geia sou Bostani!
You took a beautiful but "normal" scene, and you converted into something unique, with the excellent composition and framing and mostly with the great b&w conversion and the sepia tones. Congratulations!

Hi Korkut,
very impressive work...one more! I'd like to see it in colors but just for curiosity. The mono tones enhanced the details of the rocks and their contrast with the "chocolate" water. Interesting is that the note made use of the term to explain something totally different. Great work!

Carlos

I didn't realise there was so much I didn't know about hot chocolate. ;D Your recent images are all in the chocolate mood. As for the image; nicely composed with the boat and the scattering of swimmers. I'm imagining the boat squeezing through the gap in the rocks.
Good work

merhabalar;

My first thought was that this shot had been taken with an infrared filter.
