Photographer’s Note

Dear TE friends,

I'll fly tomorrow morning to Vancouver/Canada for a month,to visit my son that works there.During this month,except travelogues,I'll visit very often the site to see and hear news from you.I hope to upload new and fresh photos from this great country.

I'll return on May 09.So, I'll see you soon.

The diagonal line of the wing is an asset to the composition.. the point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the island below. The colors are enhanced by the quality of the light. I hope you have a nice trip in my country.

I will never be able to take a photo like this.

The panic would have to fly, cause he was stuck in the chair without moving.

Surely that is an interesting photo of you, very different from your style, and although not easy to make shots, the timing and position of the airplane off the island, has given you the time needed to capture with your lens. Excellent.

I'm just back from my Easter trip to Cinque Terre and I'm slowly trying to catch up with the numerous TE friends photos posted during my absence...
I like this picture from the plane, it's not easy to shoot through the small window which often is dirty... Rhodes looks great from above, it seems like a huge volcano. Well balanced composition with the wing of the plane filling the left parte of the photogram.
Do you want to laugh? A friend of mine wanted to spend Easter holidays in Rhodes, he took a plane... and on landing he found himself in a town called Rodez in Spain!!! He thought Rodez was the English name for Rhodes... but actually he heard that each year a lot of people make the same mistake!

A nice choice for a temporary farewell. You managed to get a really nice compo, with the wing and the island. Both seem to be floating on that wonderful hazy, dark and colourful atmosphere, where the sky confounds itself with the sea.

This is a beautiful photo of Rhodes seen from the aeroplane; Was it a volcano once? Is that a crater we see left of the summit?

That was a good idea to post this kind of image to tell us about your oncoming trip! Lucky you! So, you are in Canada now! But you don't forget your TE friends! Nice of you!

Well, I hope you'll enjoy your stay in Vancouver and that the weather will be decent for you. I have some reasons to think that it's usually not quite as nice as Greece!
