Photographer's Note

I had fun trying to compose this picture while also playing with a lonely cat that was rubbing on my legs.

This is a mock touristic poster, like the ones that were frequently found in Greece in the '80s or '90s:)
The landmarks of Ayia Marina (that I'm afraid are too familiar to you by now) -the Castle, the windmill, the harbour- are seen from a new point of view that I owe to Neyvan (npecanhuk)! Neyvan suggested in his comment on one of my previous pictures ("spring") that I tried a point of view a little to the left. Since that wasn't possible at that vantage point, I tried the balcony of an old mansion about 40m away.

The ground floor of the mansion is divided in three appartments and the one looking to the sea is also used as a dermatologist's clinic. This balcony must be one of the most rewarding on Leros. The bust stands on one of its corners.

To make my mock poster more effective, I'll call the girl Artemis (Diana) as Leros in ancient times was dedicated to the goddess of moon and hunting. Leros is still called in touristic advertisements "the island of Artemis".

In the WORKSHOP a wider view from thus lovely balcony.

Thank you for visiting
