Photographer's Note

The windmill at the end of the cove of Ayia Marina. In the background lies the settlement of Alinda, about 2km away. There were so many colours shifting constantly in the sky and on the surface of the sea this evening.

the colors here and the reflections look very pleasant and tasty..
but i wonder a little bit if i would like to see more of the sky in this picture.. the composing is nethertheless absolutely perfect.. but sometimes we wish for an alternative picture!

the soft pastel colours and the light reflecting off the water have combined to create a lovely tranquil image. the sky is superb with the subtle change of tones across the frame. i love how the outline of the mountains stands out so well against the evening sunlit sky.

The weather was better this time, at least not so windy. The colours were astonishing with all the fine shades of orange, blue, purple, pink and what else that I can't even describe. You found yet another variety of reflexions, less intriguing than in some of your earlier photos but just as fascinating.

Technical a perfect compostion 2/3 foreground and 1/3 background, this is real the norm of a good picture.
A lovely panoramic view, also a small detail of the windmills above the houses.

Veramente splendida questa photo con la luce calda del tramonto.Mi piace i mulini sul mare caratteristica di Grecia.Non sapevo che c'era dei moulini a Oia,l'ho visto doppo il mio viaggio,peccato che non l'ho saputo prima!

A very beautiful scene, you have captured it really well, with a great sense of the colours that you allude to in your note, it makes me try to imagine being here for the moment and enjoying the many spectacular colours. The mountains in the background are of course beautiful, but what ðraws my eye is the house facing into the our view. It almost seems to have a look of surprise to it. Perhaps I spend too much time attributing human emotions to scenes images, ( I do this with cars all the time) but it still makes a lovely focal point to my eyes :)

Hi Ourania
The combination of coastal town, the wondmill and foreground detail makes this a nice shot complemented by the warm tones at late hour of the day. The orientation, perspective draw the eyes way down of the fg revealing much of the interest in great detail. There is a sense of great outdoors in this and while imho the light isn't overly creative or unusual it is very pleasing to look at nevertheless, a peaceful scene in a quiet evening to savour before the arrival of darkness. Fine works, Congrats.
