The old windmill of Ayia Marina on a windy winter day. Along the background runs Mount Kleidi. The vantage point is on the paved old road over Papalefteri beach. Both the beach and the road are covered by sand, sea weeds and water on days like this. And yes, I got wet feet that day...

Hello Ourania,
Excellent capture of the turbulent water engulfing the platform on which the windmill is standing. The wild sea is an aspect of winter on the Greek islands. This morning when we woke up we found snow.

Una scena ben catturata con l'evidente azione delle onde. Mi sembra che la foto pende un pò a sinistra, ma forse è l'effetto ottico.

Gia sou Ourania,
windmills are very charming subjects to photograph, but although we have them in Lefkada I haven't managed to capture them well yet. Therefore I am looking at your photo with a bit of envy ;-) The stromy weather makes nice contrast to the windmill's natural serenity - I like it a lot. A bit of sun lightens up a photo and makes it more lively.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. La mer semble rageuse en attaquant le moulin qui semble avoir de la difficulté à se défendre contre les éléments rageurs. Le cadrage est excellent.

I can honestly say I have never seen a windmill posited so close to the sea, and certainly never being engulfed by the waves like this. Makes a very interesting, and a very wintry feeling to your capture. I can only imagine how wet you must have got this day.

Hello Ourania,
Not the same sunny day as in so many of your photos, but this stormy day with heavier clouds seems to have provided you with superb photo opportunities. The colours have turned out marvellously in this milder light. The rough sea and its foamy waves look magnificent and threatening and I love the contrasts of green, white and - at the far side - blue tones of the water. In spite of the dramatic sea the windmill with its red roof remains the main focus of the view. There is great beauty in its plain structure, maybe even more so when seeing the waves beating the walls.

A high impact coastal shot depicting the details on overcast day, it's dynamic and a really splashing and churning sea down there with that foams and great explosion of enormous wave breaking on the shore line and the windmill displaying the sheer power of nature. The bright red roof helps to click our sense adding the effective contrast An enormous action shot well frozen in excellent light and clarity. Well done

νομίζω ότι αξίζει τον κόπο να βραχείς λιγάκι προκειμένου να τραβήξεις μία όμορφη φωτογραφία σαν αυτή :)
πολύ καλή η καταγραφή του θυελλώδους καιρού,αλλά και σαν φωτογραφική σύνθεση πολύ ωραία με πολύ καλό καδράρισμα και με φυσικά χρώματα,

πολύ καλή και όμορφη φωτογραφία με τον παραλιακό μύλο να δέχεται την μανία των Χειμερινών κυμάτων.Παρόμοιο,παραθαλάσσιο μύλο έχω φωτογραφήσει στην Μυτιλήνη στον κόλπο της Γέρας,και αναρωτιέμαι ποιός ο λόγος ύπαρξής του τόσο κοντά στη θάλασσα.Τέλος πάντων,η παρουσία του ομορφαίνει το τοπίο και το κάνει ποιό ελκυστικό.

Πολύ όμορφο κάδρο, μου αρέσει ιδιαίτερα που δίνεις από ένα τρίτο του στους αφρούς των κυμάτων και στο φόντο, "συμπιέζοντας" τη δράση στη μέση. Όπως πάντα καθαρότητα και επιλογή θέματος καταπληκτική.

Μια καθυστερημένη ευχή για καλή χρονιά (έπεσε πολλή δουλειά, τι να γίνει...).

Here the weather is very different but it's a very good photo! I like the strenght of the waves - they give a real sense of movement. And the lonely windmill is perfect, surrounded by them. Good one! We can almost listen to the sea!

You have found a very strong subject with excellent positioning of the windmill in good light. You´ve placed the main point of interest, the windmil, to the side of the frame which really does strengthen things. I love the fact that the sea water in the foreground is in such motion, adding some dramatic feel to the scene. Brilliant!

Le moulin semble supporter l'assaut des vagues
De mon côté je cadre toujours horizontalement pour obtenir plus de champ. Et pour donner une prondeur d'image par l'avant plan je stitche avec une seconde image comme tu as pu le voir sur la plupart de mes images

Come diversa e' il nostro mulino in tempo selvaggio. Avendo visto il tuo soggetto quando il mare e' tranquillo, e' difficile credere che vediamo lo stesso soggetto. Mi piace molto il mare incazzato cosi, perche siamo abituati al mare sereno smeraldo e limpido. Complimenti e it auguro una bella giornata.

Bellissima immagine ricca di dettagli, colori, luci ed ombre. Fantastico il momento che ha fermato l' onda centrale prima di infrangersi. è bello vedere il mare azzurro della Grecia mentre accarezza le rocce e le spiagge meravigliose, ma anche il mare d'inverno ha il suo fascino, con i cieli grigi e il mare cupo che si frange tempestoso contro la costa. Io sono attratto dal fascino fotografico del mare in tempesta ed in questa tua ci sono tutti gli elementi per un'ottima composizione r ti li hai sfruttati nella migliore delle maniere.
