Photographer's Note

The sea next to the "rescue boat" in the harbour of Lakki. The boat and its crew belong to the Hellenic Coast Guard and are occupied with missions of survey, control, rescue, urgent transportation of injured people to the big hospitals of neighbouring islands.

Another fantastic shot has come! Blurred image makes me awaken the imagination. I cannot guess what shape the original is. That seems to be an oil painting. High contarst of red and blue is very vivid and fresh.

Hello Ourania,
Some of these reflections distort the shapes so much that it is almost impossible to imagine what caused the reflections. In this case I can actually see a red and blue boat, although it probably helps that I saw the boat in your last photo. It's a fine painting you found in the water, not quite an abstract but rather an artist's interpretation of a boat.

Clever idea to turn the photo upside down showing the whole distorted reflection with inclusion of boat's hull as foreground and reality. A lovely piece of work that looks like an oil painting, dynamic with lovely abstract forms of a fine reflection shot which suits the mood pretty well. Excellent crop and fine compo, but I simply love the intensity of colors and tones portraying a completely different feel.

sembra una pittura, anche molto bella, i colori contrastano molto bene ed il blu intenso, quasi nero, in primo piano, sembra sottolineare la macchia colorata.

Questa ho riconosciuto dalla tua foto precedente. Peró é molto diversa di quella. Molto artistica, astratta e ben curato. Sembra una fiamma nel mare. Il contrasto con i toni azzurri e quelli rossi sono affascinanti. La tua foto potrebbe essere sulla mura di un ristorante o una casa. Bellissim, complimenti.

Si ripete in questa foto, il colore vivo della rossa vernice.

Hello Ourania - It's a job keeping up with all the TE posts, this one I missed while I was away and I find the colours extremely attractive. Orange and blue, a perfect pairing and the abstract impressionist style of the shot is dynamic and successful. We see nothing concrete that suggests a boat and yet the shot gives that impression.
