Paradise Beach, a photo from Dodekanisos, South Aegean

Photographer's Note

The title Paradise Beach does not express my personal judgment about the beach in this photo but is an actual name of this place. It is supposedly the most beautiful beach on the island. Paradise Beach looks more attractive from the opposite direction and therefore it is rarely showed from this POV.

Guidebooks are pretty clear about the Kos Island, they say: The natural environment of Kos is not spectacular as such. (...) The number of testimonies to the Hellenistic and Roman periods on Kos is fairly limited – unlike the number of sunshine hours. (...) In the ranking of most popular Greek destinations, Kos occupies number four behind Crete, Rhodes and Corfu. A main reason for this are the many all-inclusive hotels...
It basically means that people choosing Kos Island do so mainly due to the numerous blue flag sandy beaches and not for the beauty of architecture or nature. That is why I had to upload at least one beach photo from Kos.

Certainly it is better to be on the beach than anywhere else. This is total relaxation, worries are far from people. The bank is nicely framed. The picture is bright, colorful, sharpness and depth. Bravo.

When I seen the thumb, I thought that the title is perfect. As it buckets rain in Dublin today, I look at this and it is indeed a vision of paradise. The composition is smooth and very pleasing to the eye. I do have to wonder what those dark patches in the sea are though, hopefully not some big shark waiting to surprise somebody!

wide the Paradise beach with the sand to be spread all over it and the people to enjoy the sun.I like the panoramic view of the bay and in my next visit in the island i visited too.

The colorful parasols gave an extra vivid tone along the beach, Mariusz.
The bay in a perfect curve is most fabulous.

reading your note, good for you to show the other side, the darker side if you want to call it that.
well....if this is the bad side, i wonder what the good looks like!
