Voidokilia beach Photo

Photographer’s Note

this photo was taken during my weekend getaway to messinia, greece. We visited this beach called voidokilia, which means ox belly, an almost perfectly round bay of fine sand, which closes inside it crystal clear turquoise waters. The area is considered of archaeological interest since it is located near navarino bay where the battle of navarino took place and itis seperated from teh main land by a natural reserve, the wetland of divari, where many birds are found. it is worth the visit!

Beautiful place and the semi-circular beach add a nice line to follow with the eyes. Good clarity, colours and sharpness. Your point of view is excellent to give us such an almost eagle's eye view of the place. Thanks Marianna :-)

Good morning Marianna,
I have heard about that beach, but I have never visit it. I see the beauty of the nature and the clear water. Many people seem to be on the beach enjoying the bath and the sunlight. Thanks for sharing.

This seems to be an incredible place... I never saw before a beach with such a semi-circular shape ! On top of this, it doesn't seem to be too crowdy which is unbelievable for us, especialy for the month of august !

Η συγκεκριμένη παραλία μου χε κάνει απίστευτη εντύπωση διότι δεν την ήξερα οπότε αφού μετά κόπων ανέβήκαμε στο καστρο και την είδαμε έπαθα πλάκα!Ηταν Ανοιξη οπότε τα πράγματα ήταν καλύτερα από θέμα ζέστης κτλ.Πρέπει να ναι τέλεια και από κοντά!

Oh Marianna! I see you went to Voidokoilia... It was between my target beaches this summer but I didn't make it. As far as I can see from your photoes and comments is a wonderful place. Why don't you post something from the natural reserve, there must be nice!
