1:This is the heightest peak of
Taygetos,2407m.There is a small church up
there, Profitis Ilias,and each year,at 20
of July (literaly)hundrends of local people
climp up there in order to honor the saint
Ilias.They stay there all night.I have been
once up there,the cold at night is just
unbearable,some times below zero,at the
heart of summer!Unforgetable experience,the
view,they say reaches Crete. I have seen
only Kythera!
2: Here is village Anavriti,hidden beside
the cliff.
3: Mystras cliff,the castle,the town,and at
the foot of the hill,modern village of
Mystras.
4:Trypi Village,where Kaiadas is located.
5:Pellana village,where new excavations may
have revealed Menealos Palace.
6: Ancient theatre of Sparta.
7: Modern city of Sparta.
8: Modern village of Amycles,built on the
ancient one.
