Photographer’s Note

Perched high in the ruins of the ancient Byzantine city of Mystras the Moni Pantanassas is home to six nuns. Within their walls all is neat and orderly with a pretty and beautifully kept courtyard garden. In the summer months Mystras swarms with visitors and the nuns accept the 'invasion' with charm and good grace.
A small number of embroidered items are on sale ,made by the nuns during the winter. A nice souvenir and
way of saying thank you for their hospitality I feel.

Hi Maggie, as composition is good, it needs more sharpness and contrast. The cat is far away, is to small in the image.
The lightness is very good.

This is a very nice composition. The cat-walk(!), the colorful flowers and the shadows. This seems really very peaceful.
It would have been better with a little more sharpness, but the soft colors make it really nice.

Hi Maggie, a pretty shot of this courtyard.
Lots of interesting textures,colours and shadows.
The composition is good, the cat strolling across the yard is the icing on the cake.

everything is on place but somehow I do not feel the real Greek summer. I find your improved version definitely better but to enrich the collection I send you a further variation where I tried to achieve more vivid flowers.

Hi Maggie,
It does look very mediterranean, but there's nothing really hinting for Greece here, like their flashy white and blue combination on house. However it's a nice backside alley shot with the cat being a most welcome animating detail, and from a picture quality point of view you mastered the black cat doom ;-)
