Photographer’s Note
This shipwreck is located near Gytheio.
Gytheio is located in the north-east corner of Mani. It lies on the north-western end of the Laconian Gulf. Gytheio was built on a hill called Koumaro or Larysio in one of the most fertile areas in Mani, near the mouth of the Gythius River, which is usually dry and has been given the nickname of Xerodas, meaning 'dry'. Further north-east is the delta of the Evrotas River. Gytheio is built on hilly ground overlooking the Laconian Gulf. Offshore of Gytheio are several small islands, the most important of these being Cranae, which is connected to the mainland by a causeway. Gytheio is only 40 km southeast of Sparta.

Yo Assi!
Nice image of this stricten vessel! I like how the beach leads up to the ship and then carrys on into the horrizon. The real nice part is that you have a full reflection in the water, that mixed with nice pastel colours proves to be interesting.
Cheers

Wonderful colours Assi & the composition is really excellent with the ship perfectly positioned. Glorious reflection too. Best regards, Roberto

Assi,
This is a great shot. That red colour in the blue water and its reflection is a pleasure to the eye. The whole impression is even more enhanced by the vertical frame. Very well done.

Is that a real reflection, Assi? It looks rather weird (and too perfect) on this non-clear water.

A beautiful composition, with the red of the ship which is an eye-catching point in the picture, in good contrast with the blue of the sea.
Regards Stefano
