Photographer's Note

North-western side in the mountain Ziria

Ziria is the mountain that rises from the shores of the Gulf of Corinth above Xylokastro. The word is Slavic, meaning "acorn", and perhaps if you get far enough from it, thatís what it looks like. The other name for it, Kyllini, is an ancient Greek word meaning "cavity", which stands for the high plateau or dip that separates its two main peaks. A massive range, Ziria has eight peaks, all exceeding 2000 meters.
