Photographer's Note

On a journey to Peloponnese last spring, a year ago, following the road from Astros to Platanos I was trying to find this church that I knew it was there but I couldn't remember where exactly..
It's been many years since I've visited and the rich vegetation made me loose my memory tracks..
Hidden but not forgotten this beautiful Byzantine church in Platanos will be festive tonight at time of Anástasi to celebrate the Resurection right after midnight with a liturgy filled with devotion.
During Easter time, the small villages of the Greek countryside, are packed with tourists especially this year that Easter falls on the same date for Greek Orthodox and Catholics.
But this church is far from the main tourist attention and is only for the few who will enjoy the serenity of this unique and divine moment.
