Photographer's Note

Levidi is a small town and a former municipality in Arcadia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Tripoli, of which it is a municipal unit.The town is situated on the northeastern slope of the Mainalo mountains, at about 850 m elevation. While the Mainalo is densely forested, the plains towards the northeast contain farmlands. Levidi is 9 km northwest of Kapsas, 10 km east of Vytina, 12 km southwest of Kandila and 20 km northwest of Tripoli. It is at the junction of the Greek National Road 74 and the Greek National Road 66. Levidi was the site of several battles during the Greek War of Independence from the Ottoman Empire.

Hi Chris,
Very nice foreground, but I do not like the the road being cut out of the frame, and then it resuming. A continuous road with the foreground here would have been very good. Just an observation.

These colours are beautiful but they are not what I would normally associate with Greece. The golden tones look like something straight out of Africa! Beautiful composition, excellent sharpness and superb landscape details. What a magical place!

la Grecia è stupenda per i colori del mare, per i paesini incantati che si affacciano sulle sue acque, ma anche per questi paesaggi che incantano per la loro asprezza. Il tuo scatto è degno di lode perchè hai saputo cogliere una bella situazione nella quale il colore domina incontrastato, pur nella bellezza della composizione.
Il contrapporre i colori caldi della terra e dei suoi frutti con l'azzurro del cielo e l'asprezza delle montagne è riuscito perfettamente e la tua foto si piuò definire ben equilibrata.
Ottimi luminosità, contrasto e colore.

πολύ ενδιαφέρον ο τρόπος που περιγράφεις το έρημο καλοκαιρινό τοπίο ιδωμένο από τον χωματόδρομο που το διασχίζει. Ενδιαφέρον και ελκυστικός και ο τρόπος που ενίσχυσες τα χρώματα και τη βαριά ατμόσφαιρα λόγω της ζέστης. Η σύνθεσή σου έχει πολύ καλή ισορροπία και βάθος ενώ οι χρωματικές αντιθέσεις και η ένταση του φωτός δημιουργούν πολύ δυνατή εντύπωση. Συγχαρητήρια και ευχαριστώ!
