This Blue hour is the last of the closeup Bourtzi series taken from Nafplio harbor.

About the shot:
---------------
Not much to tell, the smooth calm water and reflections was captured by 30 sec of long exposure, the star lamps made by f/16 aperture value, the time was specific, as I was catching the last breath of the day.
Canon 18-55 EF-S lens used at 55mm wide. This lens creates only 6 star beams while my SIGMA 70-300 creates 18 beams.
Star effects can be created when aperture is higher than f/16 (might be done also at f/8 or higher depending on the lens)

RAW Post Processing Notes:

- Some HUE / White Balance issues
- Saturation increasement
- Some sharpness if I am not mistaken
- Frame added
- Title added
- JPEG optimized up to 200kb for TE use!

Hello Stelios,

I would be very proud if I could produce an image of this qulity of this landmark. I love the starburst effect the lens has created. The exposure time of 30 seconds was indeed a wise choice to smooth the water and achieve that beautiful hue gradient in the sky. Full of rich, bold and vibrant colours. Excellent off-centre placement. Perfection.

Η σειρά με τις φωτογραφίες από το Μπούρτζι είναι πραγματικά ένα ταχύρυθμο σεμιναριο φωτογραφίας! Διαφορετικές συνθέσεις, διαφορετικά κάδρα, διαφορετικοί φωτισμοί! Η δύο τελευταίες, νομίζω ότι είναι ένα μαθημα για τη σημασία του WB! Προσωπικά, προτιμώ αυτή τη λίγο πιο "ψυχρή" εκδοχή, μου φαίνεται πιο "ρεαλιστική". Συγχαρητήρια!

Stunning evening with the beautifully lit fortress well placed in the upper third. The colourful reflection on the smooth water is beautiful and the stars add "depth". The blue light is superb.

Εξαιρετική η λήψη. Ίσως η καλύτερη που έχω δει από το Μπούρτζι. Επειδή το έχω "παλέψει" το συγκεκριμένο κι από την ίδια θέση ίσως, πιστεύω πως εκτός από την ιδανική έκθεση, πέτυχες και την ιδανική ώρα...

Εντυπωσιακά τα χρώματα, επίσης εντυπωσιακά αποτυπωμένος ο φωτισμός του θέματος.

Hello Stelios! You are the absolute "pro" when it comes to night shots. I like the long long light that moves over the sea, three giving a rather cold light, the rest warm and "rosy". The stars from the street lamps are very special above. Nice that you can still see the mountains in the back just a little showing that the sun has gone down not too long ago. εξαιρετική νυκτερινή καταγραφή από το Μπούρζι,με αυτές τισ ανεπανάληπτες αντανακλάσεις στην ήρεμη επιφάνεις της θάλασσας.Όι σημειώσεις σου θησαυρός.Πρώτη φορά μαθαίνω περί της σχέσης αστεριών και διαφράγματος.Έχω και τους δύο φακούς που αναφέρεις, αλλά ποτέ δεν μου έτυχε να διαπιστώσω κάτι τέτοιο.

Στέλιο καλησπέρα,
Το Ναύπλιο είναι μια από τις ωραιότερες πόλεις της Ελλάδας.Εσύ το κάνεις να φαίνεται ακόμα πιο ωραίο.Το θέμα είναι πολύ ωραίο,όπως και το καδράρισμα.Μου αρέσει πολύ η αντανάκλαση του φωτός στη θάλασσα.Συγχαρητήρια!

Το θέμα το κούρασες νομίζω. Αυτό παθαίνω και εγώ μέχρι να καταλήξω στην πιο "καλή". Δε λέω σεμιναριακή, αλλά την καλύτερη ήδη την έχω δει.
