Photographer’s Note
The temple of patron saint of Patras Saint Andreas was built in 1836 -1843 in the same roughly place that was found the initial temple of Apostle Andreas. The existence of it inform us the bishop Cremona Lioutprandos that saw it at 986, traveling on a ship through the Patraikos gulf.
In its hagiography worked also the painter and writer G. Hatziaslanis from Konstantinoupolis, known as Vyzantios. Excavation researchs that became southernly the temple brought in the light ancient Roman buildings.
