Photographer’s Note

Summer 2007. I saw this baby at "Nevgatis beach" in Lemnos island of Greece sleeping under a sun umbrella. When I asked the mother if I could photograph at her she opened her blue eyes staring at me with such innocence. Her name is Athanasia. Babies smile when they are happy, cry when they are sad, their eyes reflect what they see, they are the best mirrors one can have.
