Some doors are no more in use, but they still keep their character like this one here in Thessaloniki in Greece.
It is now a silent evidence for many many events...
Bazı kapılar artık kullanılmıyorlar, bu kapı gibi. Ama hala Selanikteki bu kapı gibi, yorgun ama geçmişin izlerini taşıyorlar.
Kimbilir ne olaylara şahit olmuş bu kapı...

Merhaba dear Mesut
Happy New Year dear friend I wish you the best that 2014 can bring. I like the tight framing here which has accentuated the blue tones and the wonderful textures of this run-down place. Fantastic shot, well seen and captured.

Hello dear Mesut,
the condition of this doorway is very sad but, as a photographic theme, this blue door, its design, textures and the elements that surround it are really fascinating. Your tight framing has enhanced the intense impact of the contrasting colours and signs of decay. The dark interior and the excellently rendered colours make us linger for a long time and use our imagination to recreate the past of this house. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

love your doors series, and this is another beauty. So much texture and character in this shot. A hint of sadness too. Compelling imagery!
Pleased to see your door image of yesterday survived, despite the rather prominent "F word" B.

once again a door with brilliant character.love the broken and brazen look and the plae colors.

The chain and the padlock tell us very clearly that this house isn't used anymore, in case we didn't understand that from the general decay. It's a pity to see a house slowly dying like this, but the many years of neglect create a certain beauty among the faded colours and peeling paint.
PS Thanks for the photo of your "workshop". I am looking forward to seeing the results of that technique.

character really is the word, it walls and doors could speak, the stories they would tell! This one does seem to have a hard life, but nonetheless its beauty and days of glory still shine through nicely. The flaking paintwork has created excellent textures and the color combinations are lovely. The balustrades create great depth.
all the best

Another in your current series. I wonder why, as photographers, we're drawn to the broken, weather-beaten, decayed and abandoned? If this were a smart new door, it would not be anywhere near as interesting and you wouldn't have photographed it! Love the orange competing with the blue.

amazing series of old doors. Interesting architecture. Good documentary shot. Pity that it's damaged.
Have a nice evening.

Merhaba dear Mesut
Simplicity often renders a picture beautifully, especially where the textures coming from the peeling paintwork and the worn down building comes out strongly & beautifully!
PS : Wish you and all your loved ones a very fine 2014
