Photographer’s Note

This is the Byzantine castle of Thessaloniki, the Eptapyrgos. It Ottoman times if was a prison and it was called "Yedi Kule".

I like the castle a lot, it is once of the few traces of the past, which can be found in Thessaloniki.

A fine view with three elements that are all well rendered in vivid clear colours : the meadow with the puppies, the castle, and the scuilpted sky.

Hello Sakis,

I like the point of view, slightly upward and including a good part of the wild flowers in front!
Good details in the castle ruins and the cloudy sky makes a fine backdrop...
A balanced composition with a fine colour palette!

Πολύ ωραία παρουσιάζεις το κάστρο με τη χαμηλή γωνία λήψης και τις παπαρούνες στο πρώτο πλάνο και από πάνω ένας πολύ όμορφος συννεφιασμένος ουρανός. Ωραία αντίθεση και υπέροχοι χρωματισμοί.

Είναι πανέμορφη η ιδέα σου να πάρεις ενα τέτοιο πλάνο από το Επταπύργειο ή "Yedi Kule"της Θεσσαλονίκης! Οι ομορφότερες παπαρούνες άνθισαν εκεί που τόσες νότες και καημοί τα παλιά χρόνια αντιλαλούσαν από τους φυλακισμένους και τους πονεμένους! Μία πλευρά της ιστορίας μας που μένει ξεχασμένη εκεί, που μου θυμίζει βέβαια τα νεανικά μου χρόνια! μιά και εκεί σεριάνισα!

Wonderful display of history and nature, wonderful details, crunchy colours...a feast for the eyes!
