Photographer's Note

As can be seen, it was raining, so I was looking for shelter from the storm, when the "Bloody Tower", a former dungeon, torture and execution emporium turned tourist museum, appeared framed by the awning of this sidewalk cafe.

It struck me as incongruent that a place with such a sordid reputation would be so close to a cafe used for entertainment.
