"Η περιοχή της λίμνης Κερκίνης αποτελεί παλιό και πλούσιο υγροβιοτοπικό χώρο. Οι φωλιές στις αμμούδες και τα λασποτόπια στο εσωτερικό δέλτα του Στρυμόνα καταστρέφονται. Ο άνθρωπος βρίσκεται για μια ακόμη φορά αντιμέτωπος με τις αντιφατικές επιλογές του. Παράγει, πουλάει, αγοράζει, καταναλώνει, τρέχει, ρυπαίνει, "αναπτύσσεται". Μελετά, παρατηρεί, φωτογραφίζει, προβληματίζεται και, τι παράξενο, μόλις βρεθεί μ' ένα κανό στη μέση της λίμνης νοιώθει γαλήνη, ξεκούραση, ευφορία, έμπνευση και πνοή ζωής".
