Photographer’s Note
Hi friends.
You see here a marble statue of lion it was found in this Necropolis.
This few information you will read here, I found nearby the lion.
“North of the tomb there are two small flanks of a surrounding wall, whose use is quite problematic. Since it is certain that it did not enclose a burial we assume that was used as a pedestal for a big marble statue of a lion which was found nearby. The statue was intentionally buried after the pillaging, probably in order to hide it from other thieves. “
Mere informations about this archeological region you can read if you visit hereandhereandmore photos here

Yasu Evan,
The lion stands like he is using walking sticks. The use of light, the choice of black and white, the composition are very nice. I wish you a nice week. Heretismata. Salvator.

Kalimera Evan,
great capture of this statue and black and white fits well. It looks a bit like jumping. I would like to have an idea of scale, do you have any information?

Hi Evan,
Thoughtful fellow .. it is so humbling to think of his antiquity .. you have captured him so simply (in effect) ... melancholy elegance with his broken legs ..
take care,
John
