Photographer's Note

This weekend we went to Ouranoupoli Halkidiki. The weather was so hot we did swim in the sea, although it is late September.
AmmoulianiI is the only inhabited island of Halkidiki that charms every visitor since it's the place where everyone can find anything they dream of in an area of only 4,5 km2. Ammouliani is located 120 km from Thessaloniki and is connected by frequent ferryboat routes that last only 10 minutes to Tripiti, the beach located across the island.
With very little luggage, you will find in Ammouliani a heaven on earth to be carefree and relaxed. This island is an idyllic combination of fine, golden sand, aquamarine sea, vegetation and giant rocks.
Its isolated bays are the ideal destination for those that desire peace and relaxation, while you can get involved in all sorts of water sports at its sandy beaches.
SWIMMING
The best thing you can do is to choose to visit all the island's beaches even the most isolated ones. Each one has its way to charm you and make you want to visit it every day. Most beaches are sandy and you can reach them either on foot or by a cart, a unique experience on the way to Alikes. After visiting the beaches of Ammouliani, you can go on a daily excursion by boat to the nearby islands of Gaidouronisi, Tigani and Pontiki so as to enjoy your swim in their emerald crystal clear waters and have lunch on the sand at the makeshift taverns that are built there.

Bonjour Maria,

Tu devais surement avoir les deux pieds dans l'eau pour avoir un point de vue aussi bas sur l'eau calme et bleu limpide de la baie. Tu as malheureusement une petite tache sur ton capteur.

εδώ αποκαλούμε αυτές τις υπέροχες καλοκαιρινές μέρες μέσα στο φθινόπωρο το "μικρό καλοκαιράκι". Χαίρομαι που είχες την ευκαιρία να βρεθείς κοντά στη θάλασσα αυτές τις μέρες. Και μάλιστα μια θάλασσα πραγματικά ονειρεμένη και μαγευτική. Το μέρος, τα χρώματα και το φως του είναι θεσπέσια. Η υφή και τα παιχνίδια του νερού με το φως έχουν αποδοθεί εκπληκτικά. Καλημέρα.
Η διαύγεια του νερού είναι απλά εκπληκτικό. Το σμαραγδένιο χρώμα είναι πολύ όμορφο. Αν αυτό δεν είναι ένα νησί στο χρώμα της ώχρας και του πράσινου εικόνα θα ήταν μια πραγματική συμφωνία του μπλε. Θαυμάσια και όμορφη σύνθεση.

This place is certainly very special and unique. Never get tired of looking at images like these. The excellent deep depth of field emphasize the beauty of this place. I really love the marvelous blue-green water color. Photo with perfect clarity and sharpness. The unique light reflections in very clear water are the most powerful aspect of this image. Μαρία καλημέρα,
αυτή τη θάλασσα βλέπουν οι διάφοροι 'φίλοι και σύμμαχοί' και τρελαίνονται.Θα βάλω και εγώ προσεχώς κάποιες από την Σίφνο και θα τους αποτελειώσουμε.
Πολύ όμορφη παρουσίαση με την πεντακάθαρη θάλασσα να είναι να την πιείς στο ποτήρι.Πραγματικά είναι ένας μικρός παράδεισος για να μείνει κάποιος και να χαρεί τα πεντακάθαρα αυτά νερά.

ΥΓ υπάρχουν κάποιοι 'λεκέδες' στη φωτογραφία που προφανώς σου ξέφυγαν.

Its a beauty !! The blue of the waters, its shine & shimmer has been wonderfully captured. The variety of shades and colours in the foreground create an outstanding mood. As our vision recedes towards the horizon, we find the lovely contrast of the azure /'blue' of the sky and the 'blue' of the waters.
The sharp and saturated colours of the landmass adds to the contrast and the patches of brown and green effectively balances the overwhelming blue of the photograph to an optimum.

The water is so transparatent & the ripples in the FG create a sort of sinuous lead-in. Simple picture witha few elements but attractive because of how the warm-cold colours interact. Nice!
