Photographer's Note

Narcissus is the flower which blossoms in Greece in January, mostly on damp meadows. Its smell is amazing and one small bunch can work like an airfreshner for a room :-)
According to Greek mythology Narcissus was an extremely handsome young fellow, who also being very proud, refused to return love of the nymph - Echo. Nemezis punished him by attracting him the pool where he saw his own reflection in the water and fell madly in love with it, not knowing it was merely an image. He was unable to leave the pool and eventually died. The flowers which appeared on his grave took his name.

The story might be quite tragic, but I love these little treasures and wait for them every winter.
