Photographer's Note
Narcissus is the flower which blossoms in Greece in January, mostly on damp meadows. Its smell is amazing and one small bunch can work like an airfreshner for a room :-)
According to Greek mythology Narcissus was an extremely handsome young fellow, who also being very proud, refused to return love of the nymph - Echo. Nemezis punished him by attracting him the pool where he saw his own reflection in the water and fell madly in love with it, not knowing it was merely an image. He was unable to leave the pool and eventually died. The flowers which appeared on his grave took his name.
The story might be quite tragic, but I love these little treasures and wait for them every winter.

Hi Kamila,
A very interesting story to go with these winter flowers, perfect compliment to your capture. The tree in the background is cool too, it looks very ancient in comparison to the short fleeting lives of the bright flowers.
All the best

Hi Kamila,
Indeed, the scent of those flowers is amazing! A very picturesque scene - I like the colours and the contrast between the freshness of the flowers in the FG and the stark trees in the BG, reminding us of everything that winder stands for. Well seen!
Best wishes,
Izabela

Ciao Kamila
Ciao e buona domenica

Hello Kamila,
we have to wait at least 3 months before we can see these flowers bloom, and in my region only in gardens, not as wild flowers on the meadows. Thanks for sharing this beauty!

Elvira

Witaj Kamila,

Hi Kamila,
A very interesting and informative note which adds to the charm of this scene. I enjoy this perspective, the "horizon" is well placed and helps give focus on the subject of the flowers. That being said, the rest of the image is appealing as well with the color contrast and cloudy sky. This is a very pleasing setting that has been captured and exposed quite well. Lovely photo, a good one to share.
Cheers,
Jason
