Photographer's Note
Vasiliki does not have a big modern marina like Lefkada, but apparently soon it is going to change. This has already divided the community into two groups. Some people protest against the project, since it will decidedly change the village from small, charming and quiet place into more developed town, busy all year round. The other group sees in the building new marina a chance for better standard of life and jobs also in the winter.
It is very hard to decide who has right, but I decided to take photo of the sleepy port before it changes.

Hi kamila,
You have taken this picture from a good POV, showing us the even the rusted iron stand of the bench and the resultant colour on the floor. The sceinic beauty is well presented in a well lit and sharp picture. like it.

Hello Kamila,
Another fine and clear picture of Vasiliki. Good FG and colours. Interesting note. About the marina I think the 2 groups have some good arguments. But, nearly every year end september/early october we visit a greek island. When we leave the tourist season is over, everything closes untill spring of following year. So, I think a marina will attract some tourists, but it is not a miracle solution for the habitants.
Greetings, Rudi

Hi Kamila,
Nice composition with the bench being the focal point.
Some people are happy to let life slowly pass them by
and other want to embrace it.
I would love to live in a place such as Vasiliki and let life pass me by slowly.
Regards Arnie.

Hello Kamila,
It is a pity that things have to change so profoundly. The quiet, unspoilt nature of a place is often what attracted people in the first place and those qualities are lost forever in the development.
You have composed your shot well, the bench acting both as an attraction and as a guide, the rusty stains adding to its impact. Your photograph has a great dof for the continued interest of the viewers.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Kamila ,
For sure , the place will loose a part of its charm , it is a pitty . On the other side , some people will be employed by this marina . A cruel dilemna . I hope that the choice is given yo the locals ...
A splendid invitation to sit here to rest in the wineter sun ?

Hello Kamila,
Beautiful location, so peaceful and calm (but how long for ?!). Really hard to beleive that the picture was taken in January. It must be lovely to sit there on the bench basking in the sun and admiring the view over that wonderful blue sea. Great feeling to the image and lovely colours. Well captured.
Kind regards,
Christian

Ciao Kamila
Saluti
Carlo

Hello Kamila,
This is a fine composition. It may look simple, but there is a very good balance between the three items in the foreground on the pier. They all serve different purposes and have different size but form a fine triangle. I also like the rusty colour under the bench. As a bonus we are shown a nice view across the bay. The light is very good, partly thanks to the slightly cloudy sky.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Kamila,
Beautiful piece of documentary on this lovely town, I am sure in years to come, people will be fascinated to look at your capture and see how things once were. It does look a lovely place, and the inclusion of the bench is excellent. I really like the rust stains from it on the path as well.
All the best

Hi Kamila,
I like the simple, yet strong colors as they are layered and presented in this composition. The rustic orange from the bench and pavement is a splendid combination with the turquoise water. The red rooftops against the blue sky with the bit of green in between is another nice color scheme. This appears to be a tranquil setting, a place I'd like to spend some time! A bit heavy on the shaded part of the hillside, but otherwise a fine photo.
Cheers,
Jason

Ciao Kamila
Ciao e buon fine settimana
Romano

Witaj Kamila,
Pozdrawiam i życzę miłej niedzieli.
