Afteli Bay, a photo from Lefkada, Ionian Islands

Photographer's Note

Afteli Bay is a very small but lovely place in the south part of Lefkada. One can get there by car from Evgiros or simply walking. There is only one house at the beach which in the summer has also tiny coffee shop open. The boats belong to the fisherman who lives there.

It's a very beautiful shot of the Ionian coastline with some picturesque boats in the foreground.
Two details that I like very much: the green colour of the sunlit water in front near the boats and the pink clouds behind the mountains.

Wonderful colour palette here. The transparency of the water creates a nice play with light and shadows. The colours of the traditional boats contrasts well with the blue/green colour of the water. Very nice work:) TFS. Have a nice evening.

wow, what a shot Kamila... The sharpness and clarity are just superb. Like the layer of colours... Contrast with the black part of the hilly areas... Like the use of diagonal... A superb presentation in vertical format... I just visited your gallery for the first time and get all 68 images nice... In fact greater part of your gallery is eyecatching in thumbnell... An attractive picture , especially for the amazing colors of teh sea . But the composition is good , too , with the good diagonal of the boats in the FG , and the darker BG .

La couleur de l'eau est sublime, claire au début, un cadrage avec le format vertical bien adapté.
Dommage que la photo soit un peu petite

A lovely composition with a nice vertical cropping which gives the view a lot of depth. The two boats create a fine foreground and the gentle waves and the beautiful changing colours of the sea are well captured.

Hi Kamila,

Your presentations of this crystal blue and turquoise water is simply delightful. It's so deep in color and is always a great visual. The boats placed in the foreground are a nice touch of alternate color and have a slight illusion of floating in air. I like the brightness of the scene as it enhances the clear water...makes me want to there! :)Very attractive image. Bravo.

What an idyllic life this man must lead, to think that these are his boats, sitting in the brilliant blue and clear water. Seems like the life to me :)
I love the portion of sky in the background too, with the puffy clouds, makes a very calm and pleasing shot.

Nice compostion using the boats to create foreground interest. Good colours too with the greens in the water and the pink in the sky. The mountains creating nice geometric shapes for the background interest.

te rozne odcienie wody wygladaja naprawde pieknie.Widac ze woda jest krystalicznie czysta.Mi oprocz piekna samego krajobrazu podoba sie rowniez sposob w jaki skadrowalas cala scene.Pionowy kadr i wysoko poprowadzona linia horyzontu byly tutaj znakomitym wyborem.Jakosc jest super,ale to zdecydowanie kolory sa najwiekszym atutem zdjecia-pieknie je odwzorowalas.
