Photographer’s Note
Empress Elizabeth of Austria (1837-1898) was fascinated by the mythology of Ancient Greece; she especially admired Achilles, and dedicated the palace to him. The vast gardens surrounding the building, having a wonderful view to a large part of the island, are going down to the coastal road. They are decorated with many statues the most famous of which are the two bronze runners, the dying Achilles and the statue of Achilles Triumphant. Here you can see the second statue of Achilles, which is 11meters high, from a low angle

Hi Ioannis, a nice silhoette look of this status. It has a strong contrast to the background, a littel too strong. I tried to turn the contrast lower to show the details, however, I have not been able to find a satisfied balance.

I like the composition and the POV looking up into the sun for dramatic lighting. Nice job avoiding any lens flare with this kind of shot. Nicely done.

ioannis,
i like this picture a lot because of your point of view. from where you are standing the statue looks impressive, it looks bigger than it is, the sun rays are pretty nice,
