Photographer’s Note

The Lake has length 7.5 kilometers, width 1,5 - 5 kilometres and total extent 22,8 square kilometres. The medium depth of the lake is 4 – 5 metres with the deepest point between the mountain and the island where it reaches the 10 metres.
The Lake has its own history, cradle of life for the first people who lived there up to nowadays. The history of the Lake is closely bound with the history of Ioannina.
The name of the lake “Pamvotis” has its origins from the scholar clergyman of Thessalonica Eustathio at 12c.

Good evening, Dimitris,
I like the composition and the idea of your shot, the fisherman certainly does seem to be enjoying the view. You worked with a difficult light here, but you did well. Perhaps I would have increased the contrast in PP a bit and the horizon could use a bit of straigthenning. This way, the lake is going to drain ;-) Have a nice weekend, Dasha

Geia sou Dimitrios, I thought we were in Switzerland when I first saw the thumbnail. This view and the idea of the man sitting serenely by the lake brings such tranqillity. The colours are wonderful adn your composition excellent. Warm regards, Lisa

A peaceful beautiful scene but without the fisherman it would have been quite mundane. Pity about the horizon - otherwise very pleasing to the eye! Tfs, Marlene
