Photographer’s Note
Vicos Gorge, the grand canyon of my country.
World deepest canyon. The Vicos Gorge in the Pindus mountains of NW Greece is 900m (2950 ft) deep, 12 Km. long and only 1100m (3600 ft) between its rims.
Voidomatis, the most clear river in Europe, is passing through that Gorge.
The sight is great. It is fantastic to pass the gorge and I am glad to say that I have done it.
I think this is the best view.

Beautiful view. As I have been by car to Ionannina, I must have been in the neighbourhood. But missed this beautiful canyon. TFS!
