Mountains can be protectors but great obstacles too! They "sharpen" the brain, because the man keeps on searching the "solution". They stimulate fantasy, help to create legends and fairy tales. Sometimes they give great pleasure just by being there in front of our eyes. I think that's the case of the "towers" of Astraka. Is there a better way to enjoy their beauty than having a hot cup of coffee in one of the beautiful coffee shops of Papigo?

Looks like a beautiful place to have a cup of coffe! You made a really interesting composition here with the vine-stocks in between us and the moutains. Lots of dept. Very well done.

I'll have a beer please!
This is great Hercules; the soft light on the mountains really emphasises their shapes and imposing grandeur, and shooting through the vines has worked well, as has your use of the coffee shop as foreground interest.
The only thing missing are some customers, a couple of pretty Greek girls perhaps?
On the other hand, I like the sense of peace and tranquility here, so maybe it's better as it is.

Hercules,
I like your composition having us looking through the vines to see the mountains. You have achieved good contrast between sun and shadow. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Indeed here I should can enjoy of a cup of coffee during a good strolls, but maybe during the summer or autumn period, with a little bit sun and a nice temperature, excellent picture with pleasant colours and nice composition, very well done! TFS.

Hi Hercules,

Lovely photo taken from a terrace..I'd like to have a seat indeed..and it's cool there is lot's of choice on where to sit! This terrace has a nice roof, which offer a good see through to the mountain range in the distance, which dominates the area.
Nice colours, well polarized sky, spot on exposure and top sharpness.
Bravo, very nice work!

Καλά το μέρος είναι μαγευτικότατο.Τι ωραία να κάθεσαι εκεί και με κανένα καλό κρασάκι ή και όχι, να αφήνεσαι στον περιγυρο.
Η φωτογραφία σου έχει πολύ καλά ελεγχόμενο φωτισμό.Και το καδράρισμα δείχνει μία πολύ καλή εικόνα αυτού του τόπου.

What a lovely place, even in winter, can not imagine what it looks like in summer! Nice composition, light and colours. I like the way the pergola makes like a vegetation roof between seats and mountains.

Claro, la naturaleza aquí no se enfrenta al hombre (en todo caso es el hombre quien se enfrenta a la naturaleza). Aquí el hombre se ve envuelto por la naturaleza.
A veces cobijado, a veces impresionado, a veces protegido. Pero siempre se convierte en un espectáculo por sí mismo.

Hola Hercules,
estas montañas, con su original formación rocosa, son un excelente fondo para disfutar de su vista sentado en esta terraza tomando un café o una copa.
Las ramas que cubren la terraza supongo que en verano estarán llenas de hojas verdes, lo que debe dar un ambiente fresco y muy agradable a este lugar.
Excelente encuadre, muy bien equilibrado y atractivo.

I wouldn't mind a bit being there, now, enjoying the sunset, sitting on this esplanade and having a cup of coffee:)
The details of the esplanade are very nice, but the mountains behind are fantastic and a great background for this photo.

Preciosa vista de las impresionantes montañas captadas desde ese magnifico restaurante, muy tipico para el lugar, tu POV es excelente. Me gusta mucho la iluminacion , los detalles y la buena definicion.

Συμφωνώ απόλυτα.Μόλις χθές πήρα το ICONS και ομολογώ ότι ξαγρύπνησα.Καταπληκτικό!!! Συγχαρητήρια Θερμά.Ο φακός σου
μεγαλούργησε καταγράφοντας τον φυσικό πλούτο της Ηπείρου.
Εδώ όμως ανακάλυψα και ΕΝΑ ΛΟΓΟΤΕΧΝΙΚΟ ταλέντο.Το γράψιμό σου γλαφυρό και συνάμα Οξύ.

Το μόνο μου παράπονο: Που δεν "στάθηκες στο παραθύρι ν'ακούσεις τα κλαρίνα..."

Η φωτογραγία είναι εκπληκτική από όλες τις απόψεις αλλά θα έλεγα όμως πως δεν αισθάνομαι να με προσκαλούν αυτές οι θέσεις μάλλον το αντίθετο, η κλιματαριά στο άνω τμήμα της φωτο δίνει μία εχθρική ατμόσφαιρα, σαν να είναι η στοιχειωμένη καφετέρια.

μόλις πριν από 20 ημέρες πέρασα από το Πάπιγγο,αλλά δυστυχώς ο καιρός δεν μου'έκατσε'έβρεχε με το τουλούμι και έτσι δεν κατώρθωσα να τραβήξω ούτε μία φωτογραφία.Ωραία η θέα του βουνού που μας προσφέρεις απλόχωρα με τα χρώματα και το φως του Δεκεμβρίου,όπως επίσης και τις τόσo εξαιρετικές φωτο και τα κείμενα από το περιοδικό ICONS.
