Photographer's Note

One more of these beautiful stone bridges that I love so much. It's called Kleidonia bridge. You can find very close to road that goes from Ioannina to Konitsa, about 17 km before you reach Konitsa. It is located at the exit of the magnificent Vikos Gorge, where the plains of Kleidonia start, at a "crossover" landscape and it was constructed in 1853.

The river that flows below is Voidomatis. It may seem very calm in the photo, but that's why at the time of year the photo was taken, the water is at its lowest level. During winter and especially during spring when the snow starts to melt it becomes a fierce one and it's considered one of the best rivers in Greece for rafting.
