Photographer's Note
In my first post from the small exotic island of Koufonissi (Between Europe and Africa), located 20 miles southeast of Ierapetra, I wrote about some strange landscapes that I saw there, called "Asprougoi".
Here, you can see a small part of it. From the distance it looks like a region full of striped rocks in strange shapes and formations. Once I got closer, I saw that in wasn't any rock but compressed ground. I quess that name "Asprougoi" comes from the greek words "aspri gi" that means "white land". This spectacle covers a large area of the island, creating extraordinary gorges and natural sculptures (and thousands rabbit holes, too!).
The boy climbing is Nikolas, son of Mathios Petroulakis, the friend from Goudouras, who took me for a fantastic tour around the island with his zodiac.

Hi Hercules,
Best regards

Hi Hercules,
nice shot! I love this blue sky, the colors are wonderful and the human elemt is great, without him it wouldn`t be that good of a shot! Quality is also very good and your framing eprfect.
Did you also climb the rocks with that heavy Mark III? ;-)
Take care

Hi Hercules,
the blue of the sky is amazing and together with that impressive piece of compressed ground it is a beautiful contrast. The little boy looks like a small insect. I would like to learn more about this fascinating place!

Geia sou Hirakli,
It is a really strange geologic landscape with these scores which create one amazing graphics. I like this Nikos dressed in red in this desert universe. The line of crests on the blue of the sky is very beautiful also.
What can eat the rabbitshere? that is my question !!!
Have a nice WE

Hi Hercules
I like the natural layering in the rock, & the striking colour contrast, between the warm, earthy colours of the cliff, & the bright red clothing, against the saturated blue sky. Good sharpness, & tfs!

Hi Hercules. These Greek islands have some facinating natural scenes and this is a very good one to see on TE. The boy provides scale and the colours are very realistic. TFS. Murray.

Hercules,
as a landscaper I love this kind of surprises with some weird and outstanding eologic features. I never have seen this feature before. The detail of the boy in an orange T-shirt crawling up the slope is a perfect anchor and reference to the site.
