Yes...I have to say it...this is a sunset taken in the beautiful lagoon of Elafonisi, extreme west of Crete. I wanted try to make a little "experiment" with a blue filter. You are the judges!

Ciao Elena,in effetti questo filtro ci sta molto bene,all'inizio pensavo fosse un sole rilfesso nell'acqua. Un esperimento ben riuscito direi,e poi le nuove idee sono sempre le benvenute e le piu' interessanti anche da parte di chi le realizza per vedere la reazione dei critici..ehehe...direi un bel lavoro,una perla e' la cornice nera,il 90% ne avrebbe usata una bianca per contrastare il tutto,invece ci hai azzeccato in pieno.Ciao e buon fine settimana,LUCIANO

We are so used to seeing sunsets in their natural beautiful yellows that I find this a refreshing alternative. The blue is beautiful and so is your composition. Well done for experimenting I like the end result.

Superb picture Elena, very creative, the effect created is veyr intresting and unusual. Seems like a shot of the moon. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Elena,

The blue filter makes this look like moonlight as opposed to sunset. I'd never have thought to do that. Great idea.

Hello Elena,
Normally, I do not like a nature image to be altered in such a way that it look fake, but in this case you are not trying to presented as the way nature is, and I respect artistic experimentation. So I will not criticize it. I think it turn out rather interesting, kind of like a black and white image except blue and black. Composition is good, even with the sun in the middle. the silhouetter of the plants are a nice contrast to the background. It is actaully very beautiful to look at. I wish it can be bigger for better enjoyment. Thanks

Generally I don t like photographers altering the natural colours of subjects, but here you did a superb job.
I really like the new 'blue' taste you gave to the photo. The framing compliments the finish very well too,
