Photographer’s Note
It's amazing how similar Mediterrenean climates across the world can appear. Crete and California is one great example. (These two are special to me, since they're the home of family and my current home, respectively).
This photo was taken at the top of the Samaria Gorge, in southwestern Crete. Everyone keeps saying how it looks like Yosemite National Park in California. Granted, this is an unusually green place in Crete. (See the following uploads over the next several days for a continuation of the hike).
