Trek "Criques bleues et Montagnes Blanches
Day 10 : hiking from Agia Roumeli to Loutro
The gorges of Aradena ends near Marmara beach where my group of hikers have a rest on the beach. So I decide to go and explore the gorges during this break.
The beginning of the gorges is very impressive with high cliffs.
I took this picture after the highest cliffs. The path is, actually, in the little forest you can see above.

remember this place distinctly and you have captured its very essence in this wonderful shot. I love this part of Crete and your series of wonderful images from here are just beautiful. As always perfectly executed and professionaly presented. Superb work!

Ces gorges sont vraiment spectaculaires ! On devine avec peine le sentier qui se faufile au milieu de la végétation, au pied des falaises, éclairées à droite, à l'ombre à gauche. Un site magnifique, auquel le reste du groupe a préféré la plage, tant pis pour eux ;0)

Bonjour Stephane ,
De très belles gorges sauvages . Ce n'est pas toujours facile à photographier . MAis ici , les contrastes de lumière , la végétation , le ciel nuageux , et le bon choix du POV contribuent à la réussite de la prise de vue .

Hello Stephane, i've never been to Crete but i've been myslef on some Greek islands and this image here looks very familiar to me. Good angle on the shot allowing you to see inside this small canyon. Good work!

Hi Stephane,
A really fine composition and very pleasant lighting. The fact that the rocks to the left is in the shade works well. I really like the constrast to the rocks on the right hand side. The partly cloudy sky was also advantageous . A photo in stronger lighting would probably not have been better. TFS and have fine week!
